Last Friday, I was delighted to hold my second annual Bromsgrove Pensioners Advice and Information Fair. We have so many fantastic organisations and charities in the constituency and it’s important that local residents continue to show support locally. The event was a great success, with over 50 exhibitors offering free information and advice, and over 500 residents turning up.
It was a perfect opportunity for me to catch up with some residents and I was pleased to hear how helpful people found the event. Thank you to the sponsors, Reddifast Wire and First Group, and all the exhibitors and volunteers for helping to put on such a fantastic fair. I hope you took away some useful advice and I look forward to hosting another event next year.
I was especially pleased to see attendees supporting the Royal British Legion stand at the fair. This Sunday marks the 99th Remembrance Sunday – that’s 99 years since the end of the First World War. I’d like to pay a huge tribute to every member of our Armed Forces, who courageously dedicate their lives to protect us.
It’s important that we never forget and I look forward to the Remembrance Parade on the High Street this Sunday.
