Five new jobs have been created as part of a £200,000 investment to provide Bromsgrove’s Slug and Lettuce bar with a swanky new makeover.
Situated at the top of High Street, the bar re-opened its doors earlier this month following a complete re-haul to update the interior and create a luxurious drinking and dining spot.
Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid dropped by on Friday, December 9, to meet General Manager Paul Humphrey and officially re-open the bar to the public.
Mr Humphrey said: "We have been in Bromsgrove for over eight years and it is such a great time to unveil an updated venue to the locals.
"With 2-for-1 cocktails all week and such an extensive drink list, we can’t wait to help all those celebrate the festive period and are keen to bring live music back to the high street."
Mr Javid added: "It was lovely to pop into the Slug and Lettuce and see the fantastic refurbishment on the High Street.
"The atmosphere is perfect for gatherings and celebrations – especially in the run-up to Christmas."
The listed venue has also been given a new and enhanced menu, including food which takes inspiration from around the globe as well as a healthy children’s menu.
