Sajid Javid MP has welcomed the plans from the Conservative Government which will mean over 28,000 households across the district are set to be supported with a £150 non-repayable cash rebate.
Someone is diagnosed with cancer every 90 seconds in the UK. My dad was one of them. I lost him to this horrendous disease and know too well the pain and grief that comes with it. By the time he was diagnosed, the cancer had already spread and it was too late.
Over 36 million people have now come forward to get boosted. This has been a monumental national effort and I am proud that the UK leads the world in boosters per capita.
We made major breakthroughs in 2021, but it was also a year where we faced new threats, especially the Omicron variant which continues to spread rapidly across the world.
