This month marks World Alzheimer’s Month, where people all over the globe help to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. I was pleased to show my support locally to the cause by visiting Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Community Roadshow at Beckett’s Farm. Thank you to all residents who came to support the event and to Wythall Parish Council, Alzheimer’s Society, Phoenix Group, Age UK and Beckett’s Farm for helping to raise awareness on this important area.
I also popped in to Spar in Sidemoor, to meet the wonderful team who were fundraising for the NSPCC on the 100th anniversary of A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd. Well done to everyone involved – what a great way to celebrate a century!
It was great to visit My Little Angel baby and toddler sensor group at Blue Giraffe Nursery. It’s brilliant to see a new workshop in our constituency, which helps to build confidence and support the learning for children and young people with special needs – keep up the good work!
If I can be of any help as your local representative, please do get in touch.
